Oklahoma women's coach Sherri Coale will be an assistant coach with the USA women's junior world championship team, announced Wednesday by USA Basketball.

Connecticut's Geno Auriemma is the head coach.

"USA Basketball couldn't have made a better choice with Sherri Coale," Auriemma said. "Sherri's been able to build her program in just four or five years and get to the (NCAA Tournament) regionals."

The women's junior world championship is scheduled July 14-22 in Brno, Czech Republic.
