The Texas Tech women's basketball team drew the second-highest attendance for home games for the second straight year, according to a release from the NCAA on Friday.
The Lady Raiders averaged 12,660 fans per game (202,562 overall), second only to Tennessee's 15,510 spectators per contest. Connecticut (12,265), Iowa State (11,370) and New Mexico (8,712) rounded out the top five.
Tech and Iowa State helped the Big 12 Conference finish No. 1 in attendance for the second straight season with all-time national highs of 880,255 fans and a 5,030 average. It marked the first time a conference has exceeded the 5,000-per-game mark.
